Maharashtra based running 10 MW
biomass plant establised in 2010 with the PPA signed with MSEDCL for 15 years
at the rate of Rs. 6.40 per unit. The plant is connected with the grid of 33KV
substation located 3 km from the site. There is a sufficient land to increase
the capacity of the plant in future, if required. As per the local regulations,
only one bio mass plant is allowed in each district. This ensures that there
will not be any competition from other power generating company to acquire fuel
sources from the local suppliers. However, the company can expand the capacity
at the existing plant. The boiler is Themodyne Make TRVLGRT model and turbine
is Triveni Make. The water requirement for the plant is far lower than other
plants as it has air cooler system. There is abundant water availability at the
plant through borewells. The Plant has
been designed to use a wide variety of fuels including bagasse, sugarcane
trash, cotton stalk, maize stalk, corn bhutta, wood chips, Municipal Solid
Waste RDF etc. Bagasse is the main source of fuel and plant location is one of
the main districts of Maharashtra cultivating sugar cane. For surrounding areas
with 150 km radius there are about sugar crushing mills having aggregate
capacity of 92,000 tonnes crushing per day (tcd). It is almost five times total
requirement during peak season. Total requirement of RDF at an estimated
composition of 15% is about 11,000 MT per year. Other fuels like makka butta,
cotton stalks and other biomass fuels like stalks needed about 18,000 MT per
year from January to June and sufficient
quantities are available. Company is looking for strategic Investor and stake
sale. Company is ready to offer 26 to 50 per cent stake in the initial stage.
Enterprise Value Rs. 55 Cr.
